Roots of Leadership
Roots of Leadership is the name of our intergenerational leadership mentoring and volunteering programme, and is at the heart of everything we do at ACE Voices since it began in 2010.
It is all about creating bespoke development opportunities that match each person, and that empower them to become more confident in themselves, to connect more and more with what makes them tick/what their life passions are, and to have the confidence to make a difference to the world around them in their own unique way.
Since ACE Voices began, we have mentored over 300 volunteers of all ages, and we are so grateful for the countless impacts they make in the lives of others. And the cycle continues…! Many of our volunteers are now taking on bigger responsibilities within ACE Voices such as the role of Assistant Director, joining our Intergenerational Choir’s Leadership Team, and our new ACE Voices-wide Youth Community Leadership Team!
Anyone who volunteers as part of our projects has free access to our tailored leadership mentoring as a thank-you for their support, and increasingly, we are in a position to offer paid freelance work to people who have grown through our activities too.
